Today we saw a smallish seal on the beach. Wendell, who'd been chasing after gulls, didn't quite know what to make of it. He walked up slowly, and the seal started wriggling toward the water. Wendell picked up the pace, and the seal wriggled faster, and when Wendell was about five feet away the seal made it into the water and swam away fast.

I wonder which one of them was more freaked out by the experience.

Anyhow: I'm writing this from the Truro Public Library. Blogging will probably be light this summer, or at least until Comcast comes to my new neighborhood and I can ditch the at-home dial-up connection.

But I'm hard at work on Book Four, and I'll post news of the Little Earthquakes tour and "In Her Shoes," the movie, as soon as I get it.
